Today, I am writing a tribute to my grandma—someone who had an amazing impact on my life and the lives of others through her strength and love, even through rough times. Grandma was always kind and caring to everyone, especially her family. When she came to visit from Maryland or Cameroon with Grandpa, it was always a pleasure to have her around.
During the last few years of Grandma’s life, she suffered a major stroke in Maryland that led to multiple seizures and other medical complications, which she faced every day until her death on Friday, December 12, 2025. I remember how happy she always was to see me and my brother every time we came to visit her. Even though she was in a lot of pain, she still showed strength through the most difficult time of her life.
I’ll never forget her smile or her laughter that could light up any room. Or the strength she had up until her final breath. I know the love she had for her family touched many people’s hearts and will continue to do so through her legacy of resilience, fortitude, and love.
